  1. Jamie Beckham- I lived in a poor neighborhood when I was a child . I faced challenges because there were not very many black players in my team of tennis or black tennis players that were willing to play. On answers.com it says that "Few blacks played tennis at all, much less professionally." I still got lots of awards and was the fist black women to win a tennis tournament . I died already . I am a ghost.

  2. Lon'Naja-Jordan- I was a champion in tennis. Whites would try to get in my way. I didn't let whites get in the way of my hard work of tennis. Now I am a champion of my hard work.

  3. Kalen Cox-I learned that Althea Gibson was the best tennis player ever. And she was in the tennis hall of fame but then she retird from tennis to work at a strange place. and then I learned that she got a troafy from her tennis game. But what I learned from that is that she never gave up on her dreams and career at playing tennis and being the best famous person ever in the whole wide world to play in the championship tennis game for her whole inter life. But she didn't give up yet she picked up her tennis racket and hit that tennis ball right out of the park and won the a troafy for her excelient tennis playing game in the championship tennis game. But her teammates made fun of her because she is a black Aferican American how can play tennis very well. But she died because her heart stopped beating that's how she died. And she was so important because she could do anything she put her mind to and did not give up on her dreams or career thats why she was so important.

  4. Stecoya Moore- If i were althea gibson, i would talk about how i play tennis very well. And how people talk bad about me like white people and how they talk all that nasty talk about black folks. But now there is more white homeless people than you think they are always asking for food and money but every time i see a white person like that it makes me think how they use to treat blacks back in the old days. But i'm not really worried about what people say because it doesn't hurt me i'm going to keep on living my life style/by the way i live every Day.
